About The Position

Boise Cascade is hiring a Millwork Inventory Control Specialist to help maintain accurate, secure, accessible inventory at a distribution location while also receiving, selecting, and loading materials. The role includes physical inventory counting and reconciliation, shipment accuracy, inventory analysis, and coordination with production and sales orders and forecasts. It also involves safe forklift and equipment operation, order verification, customer service, teamwork, housekeeping, and adherence to safety, quality, environmental, and continuous-improvement practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience.
• Follow safety programs and comply with OSHA regulations.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.

Nice To Haves

• Typically more than five years of experience in a related job function.
• Technical certification or an associate degree may be required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control over inventory, ensuring it is secured, properly identified, and readily accessible to authorized personnel at a distribution location.
• Conduct physical inventory counts and reconcile results with inventory records.
• Verify quantities of incoming and outgoing shipments to maintain accurate physical and recorded inventories.
• Analyze inventory levels and coordinate with production and sales orders and forecasts.
• Maintain good housekeeping in the work area.
• Follow safety programs and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous process improvement.
• Receive, select, and load materials.
• Operate a forklift safely and efficiently.
• Verify order accuracy after packaging and loading.
• Provide basic customer service to internal and external customers.
• Work with team members to fulfill orders and complete daily tasks.
• Perform daily forklift safety checks.
• Perform basic maintenance on assigned motorized equipment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
