About The Position

Indotronix is seeking an Milling Machine Machinist 1 in Palmdale, CA. This role requires a High School Diploma/GED and a security clearance. The work schedule is 4x10 (Monday-Thursday).

Requirements

• Minimum of High School Diploma/GED
• The flexibility to work any shift as needed.
• Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include: bending, stooping, kneeling, carrying tools, lifting up to 50 pounds and working overhead.
• Machinist experience
• Mechanically incline
• Watertjet, CNC plasma cutter or CNC Laser cutter experience needed.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in the use of various measuring instruments to include micrometers, bore gauges, calipers, comparators, or other instruments
• Demonstrated written and oral communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office applications, such as MS Excel, outlook, Word, and PowerPoint
• 3 axis machining programming using Master CAM
• Previous experience running Water jets, CNC laser table, CNC plasma table

Responsibilities

• Sets up and operates plain or universal, horizontal, or vertical milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours; boring compound angular holes; doing helical and spiral milling; serrating; and gear, spline, and keyway cutting to exacting tolerances.
• Selects, mounts, and aligns various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling.
• Plans sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup.
• Determines, sets, and adjusts speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.
• Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications.
• Uses a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments.
• Makes standard shop computations.
• Measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.
• May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
