About The Position

The Mill Material Handler is responsible for maintaining warehouse cleanliness and proper organization, including ensuring that autocleaning production is properly maintained in the racks. The role involves loading, unloading, and moving products and materials by hand or with carts, pallets, skids, and pallet jacks, in accordance with company safety guidelines and best practices. The position is entry-level and requires no prior experience.

Requirements

• Entry-level; no experience required.
• Ability to read and interpret work orders.
• Knowledge of the custom store fixture industry and receiving.
• Ability to clearly identify products from package labels.
• Ability to read and understand written pick lists and related documents.

Responsibilities

• Maintain warehouse cleanliness and proper arrangement.
• Ensure autocleaning production is properly maintained in the racks.
• Load, unload, and move products and materials by hand or using carts, pallets, skids, and pallet jacks while following safety guidelines and best practices.
• Accurately count and record quantities for inventory transactions.
• Verify that moved materials match the descriptions on associated documentation.
• Follow labeling procedures and ensure product numbers are up to date.
• Pack bulk materials appropriately, including boxing, taping, wrapping, banding, or shrink-wrapping them to help ensure safe transportation without damage.
• Locate, identify, label, and pick required materials from printed pick lists.
• Pick and pull daily orders without using a forklift.
• Use a camera to document inbound and outbound load conditions and quality issues.
• Use basic hand tools to open or close crates and complete basic assembly tasks.
• Read and understand written pick lists and related documents.
