Material Handler 1-Mill-3rd Shift
About The Position
BlueScope is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Material Handler to operate forklifts, overhead cranes, and other mobile equipment while performing intermediate and complex material-handling activities. The role includes receiving inventory, loading and unloading materials, and staging and moving raw materials and finished goods within or near a plant, yard, warehouse, or work site. Candidates with operating experience as well as those eager to learn are welcome. Responsibilities
- Load and unload raw materials and finished goods onto or from pallets, industrial racks, trailers, trucks, and similar equipment.
- Transport materials from storage or production areas and place them in designated areas.
- Use lifting devices such as cranes and forklifts to safely position materials or parts.
- Participate in continuous improvement and corrective action activities.
- Track material inventory, perform machine maintenance, and support housekeeping and organizational standards, including 5-S practices.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
