This position serves as a Migrant Education Program Liaison, with additional responsibilities as a McKinney-Vento/Foster Youth Liaison. The role involves identifying and recruiting eligible migrant students, maintaining records, and acting as a crucial link between the program, families, schools, and community agencies. The liaison will encourage parent involvement, monitor student needs, refer them to appropriate services, and provide workshops, advocacy, and support. A key aspect of this role is analyzing data to determine eligibility and needs, and performing attendance-related follow-up activities to prevent, minimize, or document student attendance issues. This position also links services to students identified under the McKinney-Vento Grant as homeless and Foster Youth across all school sites. Employees receive supervision from a program administrator within established policies and procedures.
