About The Position

The Midwest Territory Manager will lead Eschenbach's sales efforts in the states of Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska, and Oklahoma by calling on ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians and blind rehab professionals among others to solicit sales of Eschenbach’s low vision care products that the professionals would then resell to their visually impaired patients and clients. The Midwest Territory Manager will also work with existing professional customers to solicit sales of new and existing product offerings that they would resell to their patients. Successful Territory Managers excel in identifying and acquiring new professional customers as well as growing existing customers through adept account management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent, preferred
  • Commitment to learn and demonstrate the Eschenbach sales technique
  • Territory Managers candidates must provide a vehicle for business use that is sufficient for transportation of required samples. This is typically a full-sized SUV or Minivan.
  • Adherence to dress code
  • Proficiency with computers as a selling tool including the MS Office suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Expert time management skills
  • Public speaking experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Maximize market penetration of Eschenbach products by soliciting sales to the eye care market. Target customers can include state of local agencies, VA hospitals and other channel partners. A minimum of 3 nights per week ‘out of town’ is to be expected.
  • Maximize number of existing Eschenbach customers through in-person sales solicitation, including helping new and existing customers understand Eschenbach’s products and how Eschenbach’s products are superior in performance.
  • Make at least 10 in-person sales calls per week on eye care and blind rehab professionals.
  • Follow-up on all qualified leads within 30 days.
  • Maintain contact database for territory in CRM system and track all selling activities in the same system.
  • Prospect territory on an on-going basis to generate qualified leads.
  • Spend adequate time weekly telemarketing territory to effectively and efficiently schedule travel, working primarily by appointment.
  • Learn and understand products for low vision aids and magnifiers, which will help you be an effective salesperson.
  • Sponsor and attend local and regional trade shows and eye care events to solicit sales of Eschenbach products and cultivate leads.
  • Maintain samples for demonstration purposes in good condition, which will help solicit sales of such products.
  • Maintain professional appearance and presentation at all times.
