About The Position

Vericast is seeking a hands-on Cloud Engineer to support and operate its Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 platforms. The role is responsible for engineering, administering, and continuously improving enterprise cloud and identity services, including Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft 365 email systems, and AI capabilities such as Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio. This is a production-focused engineering position rather than a pure architecture role, requiring the ability to design, build, troubleshoot, and operate cloud and identity solutions. The Cloud Engineer will work across Azure infrastructure, identity and access management, Microsoft 365, AI enablement, and platform operations. The role includes supporting platform availability, scalability, cost efficiency, security, and compliance; serving as an escalation point for complex issues; and partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated solutions. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
At least 3 years of professional experience in software engineering, application development, systems engineering, or a related technical field.
Experience developing, modifying, supporting, and maintaining business applications and systems.
Experience participating in cross-functional projects and delivering technology solutions in a business environment.
Experience estimating technical work efforts and supporting solution delivery.
Strong technical depth and ability to design, build, troubleshoot, and operate cloud and identity solutions in a production environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, and support Azure-based infrastructure and services.
Operate and optimize Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD) environments.
Ensure platform scalability, availability, and cost efficiency.
Implement and maintain infrastructure as code, such as Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
Administer and support Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD).
Design and maintain single sign-on (SSO), Conditional Access policies, and identity lifecycle and governance processes.
Integrate enterprise applications with identity solutions such as SailPoint or similar platforms.
Support and manage Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online and email integrations.
Troubleshoot issues across Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365 services.
Implement and support security and compliance controls across the Microsoft 365 platform.
Support and operationalize Microsoft Copilot and Copilot Studio.
Assist with integrating Copilot into enterprise workflows and business applications.
Provide technical support and troubleshooting for AI-enabled productivity tools.
Serve as an escalation point for complex platform and identity issues.
Perform root cause analysis and implement long-term remediation.
Monitor platform health, performance, and security posture.
Communicate effectively in writing and verbally.
Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver integrated cloud and identity solutions.
Participate in cross-functional projects and deliver technology solutions in a business environment.
Estimate technical work efforts and support solution delivery.
