About The Position

Shorr Packaging is seeking a hands-on Microsoft 365 & Cloud Engineer to improve and support its Microsoft 365, identity, endpoint, cloud, and security environments. The engineer will own technical projects from planning and design through implementation and support, solve complex problems, automate repetitive work, and help advance the responsible use of AI across the organization. The role spans Microsoft 365, cloud, identity, security, automation, infrastructure, and AI, and calls for someone who can manage multiple priorities, take ownership, and recommend and implement improvements.

The position includes designing, implementing, optimizing, and supporting Microsoft 365 technologies; improving hybrid Active Directory and identity; supporting AWS workloads; and partnering on security, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and compliance initiatives. The engineer will also champion AI adoption by identifying practical use cases, helping move promising ideas into application, and promoting responsible AI practices. Shorr Packaging does not provide work authorization sponsorship for this position.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Microsoft 365 administration and/or engineering experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of Intune, Autopilot, Entra ID, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and Active Directory.
• Demonstrated experience supporting hybrid identity and infrastructure environments.
• Strong PowerShell scripting and automation skills.
• Experience with Windows Hello for Business, passkeys, and modern authentication approaches.
• Working knowledge of AWS and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with backup, disaster recovery, security hardening, and cloud migration initiatives.
• Experience using AI tools and technologies in a professional environment, and curiosity about how AI can improve IT and business operations.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, a related field, or equivalent relevant experience.
• Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment and manage multiple priorities.
• Takes ownership and follows through without requiring constant direction.
• Communicates effectively with technical colleagues and non-technical business partners.
• Curious, service-minded, organized, and motivated to improve, automate, and learn.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, optimize, and support Microsoft 365 technologies, including Microsoft 365, OneDrive, Intune, Autopilot, SharePoint, Teams, and Entra ID.
• Manage and continuously improve hybrid Active Directory and identity, including synchronization between on-premises AD and Entra ID.
• Implement and support modern authentication solutions, including Windows Hello for Business and passkeys.
• Establish standards, governance, and best practices to improve security, reliability, and user experience.
• Identify opportunities to automate repetitive work and improve efficiency using PowerShell and other automation tools.
• Own technical projects from planning and design through implementation and support.
• Manage multiple projects, priorities, and requests while maintaining momentum and follow-through.
• Troubleshoot complex issues across cloud, identity, endpoint, and infrastructure environments.
• Partner with IT, Security, and business teams to translate needs into practical technical solutions.
• Provide light administration and support for AWS workloads used by business applications.
• Partner with infrastructure and security teams on backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, security hardening, and compliance initiatives.
• Help ensure identity, access, endpoint, and cloud environments meet organizational security standards.
• Champion AI adoption by exploring how Generative AI can improve IT operations, security, infrastructure, and business processes.
• Identify practical AI use cases and help move promising ideas from experimentation into real-world application.
• Promote responsible AI practices and help teams understand AI capabilities and limitations.
• Explore emerging technologies and recommend where they can create meaningful business value.
