About The Position

The Sales Manager sells homes manufactured by Cavco Industries to builder/developers, company-owned, exclusive, and/or independently owned retailers. The position is responsible for growing sales and customer relationships, achieving the assigned division’s profit plan, coordinating trade show activities, identifying market trends and opportunities, and ensuring customer service issues are resolved. The role also works with supervisors, managers, administrative staff, factories, vendors, community managers, and sales representatives to support responsive teamwork and client service levels.

The duties described are intended to represent the general nature and level of work for the classification and are not exhaustive. Associates may be asked to perform duties outside their normal responsibilities as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a relevant related field.
• 3 to 5 years of experience in retail store functional management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare presentation materials and present information one-on-one and to groups.
• Strong computer skills in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth by developing new customer relationships and expanding business with existing customers.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with supervisors, managers, administrative staff, factories, vendors, and community managers to promote responsive teamwork and meet client service levels.
• Achieve the assigned division’s profit plan, ensuring accuracy of sales numbers, margins, expenses, and overall profitability.
• Develop key account relationships.
• Lead and attend trade shows; schedule sales meetings, coordinate representatives, and plan trade show materials and logistics.
• Provide insight on market trends and opportunities.
• Ensure customer service issues are resolved.
