About The Position

This position leads activities associated with the administration and management of pharmacy programs, including disease state formulary systems, utilization management, specialty pharmacy management, medication therapy management, client relationships and support, and development of innovative clinical programs. The role leads a team of Clinical Pharmacists responsible for medication therapy management services across a diverse portfolio of accounts, overseeing operations and aligning staffing and priorities to account needs. It monitors performance and develops processes to support efficient, consistent operations and works with clinical, client-facing, analytics, and operational teams. The position also supports implementation and onboarding of new accounts and coaches, develops, and evaluates Clinical Pharmacists. This is a hybrid Flex role requiring at least three days in the office and two days remote. Compensation is a base pay range of $102,000 to $184,300 annually, with exact compensation varying by skills, experience, and location. The role is aligned with an annual incentive bonus plan, subject to its terms and conditions.

Requirements

Registered Pharmacist in the United States.
Three years of management and/or leadership experience.
Five years of experience within pharmacy practice.
Experience using Windows-based word processing, spreadsheet, and relational database software.
Drug information skills.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of practice guidelines or practice parameters, pharmacoeconomics, quality improvement processes and techniques, and medication use evaluation principles.
Ability to remain at a workstation and perform computer entry for long periods, as required.
Leadership skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and manage communications professionally to achieve issue resolution with customers, employees, or management.

Additional certifications and residency experience.
Managed care and/or Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) experience.
Medication therapy management (MTM) experience, specialty pharmacy experience, or knowledge of government programs.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage a team of Clinical Pharmacists delivering medication therapy management services across a diverse portfolio of accounts.
Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure services are delivered efficiently, consistently, and in accordance with account requirements and clinical standards.
Segment and manage accounts by package type, aligning pharmacist staffing and priorities with account-specific needs and complexities.
Monitor operational performance, productivity, quality, and other key performance indicators.
Develop, implement, and optimize processes and workflows that support efficient and standardized operations.
Partner with clinical, client-facing, analytics, and operational teams.
Support implementation and onboarding of new accounts, including staffing, training, documentation, and performance monitoring.
Coach, develop, and evaluate Clinical Pharmacists, fostering accountability, consistency, clinical excellence, and continuous improvement.
Administer and manage pharmacy programs, including formulary systems, utilization management, specialty pharmacy management, medication therapy management, client support, and innovative clinical programs.
