About The Position

This role supports the Power Generation business by providing technical and administrative oversight of all IT Operational Technology needs. It is responsible for developing and safely executing strategic plans, policies, programs, projects, budgets, and schedules that meet business objectives while ensuring alignment with the broader IT architecture and strategy.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or Computer Science or equivalent experience.
  • Authorization to work in the United States is a precondition to employment in this position.

Responsibilities

  • Drive overall standardization and architecture for the power plants operational technology using secure, resilient industry standard solutions in close coordination with business partners.
  • Identify high-level business-specific technology needs and potential solutions focused on maintaining budget, standards and availability of Real-Time Systems and related periphery systems. Responsible for maintaining and implementing security standards including NERC CIP as applicable.
  • Coordinate business unit needs between groups to optimize capabilities and cost structure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams in development of IT Operational Technology solutions and strategy.
  • Develop IT Operational Technology strategic plans, roadmaps and budgets aligned with business and corporate directives, including multi-year plans for each aspect of the technology portfolio.
  • Develop, manage, and maintain customer relationships with the Business across Power Generation Organizations.
  • Manage the assigned portfolio. Participate in benchmarking and self-assessments to improve process and system performance.
  • Performs other duties specific to site type including serving as an advocate for safe operations and continuous improvement and implementing the Corrective Action Program for site Technology.
  • Provide direction and oversight on the following activities for the IT Operational Technology Generation Team: Ensuring reliability of but not limited to Entergy’s monitoring and control systems. Coordinating upgrade and enhancement projects for the applications and infrastructure supported.
  • Work with Internal Audit to coordinate and respond to all relevant audits that fall under the IT Generation Operational Technology purview.
  • Perform quarterly resource planning with other members of Technology Management.
