About The Position

Perform administrative duties efficiently, safely, and accurately while following company policies and procedures. Provide problem-solving assistance to the department and maintain controls to ensure system data accuracy. Support the division’s Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and Customer 1st strategy, and embody Kroger Manufacturing’s High Performance Work System principles and the company’s values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion, and safety. The role may involve working around ingredients or finished products known to contain food allergens.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.
Ability to meet deadlines with limited supervision.
Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information.
Flexibility to work any shift as needed.
Effective interpersonal and phone skills demonstrating poise, tact, and diplomacy.
Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy and precision.
Strong planning and organizational skills.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and self-directed.
At least 18 years of age.
Functional knowledge and use of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

Administrative experience in an office or professional environment.
Previous food manufacturing experience.
Experience in a union environment.

Responsibilities

Maintain accurate and effective communications with necessary parties.
Ensure the accuracy of duties through internal audit processes.
Understand and effectively use department systems and programs.
Support the team through assigned projects and day-to-day activities.
Assist with and provide backup coverage for other administrative jobs as needed for department effectiveness.
Maintain and update databases, spreadsheets, and reports; meet deadlines and audit for errors.
Build and maintain working relationships across the organization as needed to complete assigned tasks.
Participate in and actively support plant initiatives.
Define, organize, and prioritize tasks with minimal supervision.
Complete routine paperwork as required.
Protect confidential and sensitive information.
Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation.
Work around ingredients and/or finished products known to contain food allergens.
