About The Position
Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring Baseball + Softball Coach Interns / Camp Counselor Interns for paid internships throughout the summer, including a required week of August 17–21. This is an ideal opportunity for high school and college athletes looking to gain hands-on experience in coaching, youth development, and leadership. The internship offers flexible week-long opportunities in Brooklyn, NY, perfect for student-athletes and college students home for the summer. Interns will gain real experience in coaching and working with kids, build their resume for careers in sports, education, or leadership, and work outdoors in a fun, team-oriented camp environment.
Requirements
- Must be available for the required week: August 17–21
- Experience working with kids (camps, coaching, babysitting, etc.) preferred
- Interest in sports, coaching, or youth development
- Energetic, reliable, and positive attitude
Responsibilities
- Assist with baseball and softball drills, games, and daily camp activities
- Work with campers ages 4–13 in small groups
- Help create a safe, fun, and structured camp environment
- Support camper engagement, teamwork, and skill development
- Learn coaching techniques from experienced staff
- Participate in team meetings and receive daily feedback
