About The Position
Mets Baseball & Softball Camps is hiring one Lead Softball Coach to oversee and coach our softball program during one week of camp, August 17-21, in Levittown, NY. This is a hands-on position designed for an experienced collegiate softball player, softball coach, teacher, or youth sports leader who enjoys coaching on the field while leading a team of coaches. You'll spend your days teaching softball, mentoring campers, supporting staff, and ensuring the softball program runs smoothly from the first pitch to the final game.
Requirements
- Previous experience coaching youth softball required
- Reliable transportation to Levittown
- Ability to pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- Collegiate softball playing experience strongly preferred
- Experience leading staff, teams, or youth programs preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead the softball program for campers ages 4–13
- Actively coach campers through drills, games, and daily instruction
- Teach softball fundamentals including hitting, throwing, fielding, base running, and game strategy
- Help organize daily schedules, rotations, and softball activities
- Ensure campers receive a safe, engaging, and positive experience
