About The Position

For one of our clients, a world-renowned aerospace manufacturer, we are recruiting Methods Agents. The role involves correcting assembly work instructions, interpreting engineering documents, developing manufacturing strategies, defining tools, coordinating changes, supporting production, improving strategies, and managing projects related to the methods function.

Requirements

  • You have a college or university diploma in Mechanical, Avionics, Electrical, Industrial, Electromechanics Engineering, Aerospace Manufacturing or in a relevant area;
  • You are able to read technical drawings and have a good visualization in 3D with good analytical skills;
  • You have a good logical mechanical skill;
  • You are proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint);
  • You can work with computer-based software such as Catia, AutoCad, Enovia, etc.;
  • You can work with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software such as SAP, etc.;
  • You are an excellent team player, are perseverant and have a good judgement;
  • You have a good command of French, written and spoken and have a good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

  • Correct assembly work instructions or manufacturing routings intended for the fabrication or assembly of aircraft components.
  • Interpret, verify, and approve drawings and other documents from the engineering department.
  • Develop assembly and manufacturing strategies for aircraft components.
  • Define the tools required for manufacturing or assembling aircraft components to ensure required geometric tolerances.
  • Coordinate the implementation of engineering changes or assembly strategies by working closely with engineering, materials logistics, quality, and production teams.
  • Actively support production by coordinating the resolution of technical issues with other support departments.
  • Continuously seek ways to improve assembly and manufacturing strategies and participate in research and development projects.
  • Support the Central Methods team in the execution of their projects.
  • Update the Methods documentation structure, perform SAP analysis, identify needs, and optimize production.
  • Eliminate non-value-added activities.
  • Define requirements for manpower, tooling, assembly, layout planning, ergonomics, health and safety, as well as production tools and equipment based on optimal methodologies.
  • Participate in the development and optimization of processes related to the methods function.
  • Audit certain processes to validate proper operation and provide recommendations.
  • Manage short- and/or medium-term projects of varying complexity.
