About The Position

Carroll Motor Fuels is hiring a driver to deliver petroleum products to residential and/or commercial customers. The role involves local driving in a straight truck, delivering products, monitoring product transfers to customer vessels, operating onboard delivery computer and meter systems, and completing daily paperwork. Drivers may work with little supervision and must follow local traffic laws and DOT rules and regulations. The schedule may include early mornings, evenings, or weekends depending on business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old, as required by DOT.
Current and valid Maryland State Class B Commercial Driver's License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, plus a TWIC Card.
Current and valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate and ability to pass the FMCSA query.
Must meet company insurability requirements.
Ability to lift and pull a minimum of 50 pounds and stabilize a minimum of 100 pounds.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally with employees and customers.
Ability to train and learn the petroleum industry.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is recommended but not required.
Three or more years of experience driving tanker vehicles is preferred.

Responsibilities

Drive a straight truck to delivery locations while obeying local traffic laws.
Deliver petroleum products and monitor product transfers from the delivery truck to the customer's vessel.
Operate the truck's onboard delivery computer and meter systems.
Maintain required paperwork, including manifests, emergency response guides, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned or required.
