About The Position

Carroll Motor Fuels is hiring a driver to deliver petroleum products to residential and/or commercial customers. The role involves local driving in a straight truck, delivering petroleum products, monitoring product transfers into customers’ vessels, operating onboard delivery computer and meter systems, and completing required daily paperwork. Drivers may work with little supervision and must follow applicable traffic laws and DOT rules and regulations. The schedule may include early morning, evening, or weekend shifts depending on business needs.

Requirements

Must be at least 21 years old, as required by DOT.
Current, valid Maryland State Class B Commercial Driver’s License with Tanker and Hazmat endorsements, and a TWIC Card.
Current, valid DOT Medical Examiner’s Certificate and ability to pass the FMCSA query.
Ability to lift and pull a minimum of 50 pounds and stabilize a minimum of 100 pounds.
Ability to work with little supervision.
Ability to communicate verbally and effectively with employees and customers.
Must meet company insurability requirements.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED is recommended but not required.
Three or more years of experience driving tanker vehicles is preferred.
Ability to train and learn the petroleum industry.

Responsibilities

Drive a straight truck to delivery locations while obeying local traffic laws.
Deliver petroleum products and monitor the transfer of product from the delivery truck to the customer’s vessel.
Operate the truck’s onboard delivery computer and meter systems.
Maintain required paperwork, including manifests, emergency response guides, and Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
Perform other tasks and duties as assigned or required.
