About The Position

Allen Industries is seeking a reliable, detail-oriented Metal Fabricator to construct structures and sign cabinets from raw materials in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The role brings sign designs to life through fabrication, assembly, welding, wiring, and quality craftsmanship, producing custom signage to customer specifications, shop drawings, and blueprints. Products include channel letters, awnings, wall signs, and pylon signs. The position involves working with aluminum, steel, and other materials; using fabrication machinery and hand tools; inspecting finished parts; and following OSHA and company safety procedures. It is a full-time, 40-hour-per-week role, with overtime as needed and occasional evenings or weekends. Allen Industries describes the work as hands-on and offers opportunities to grow skills in manufacturing and sign production.

Requirements

Ability to use or learn to use fabrication machines and hand tools.
Ability to read tape measures and shop drawings.
Comfort working in a loud, industrial environment.
Ability to lift up to 70 pounds; team lifting is used for loads up to 100 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Experience welding metal or aluminum.
Forklift experience or certification.

Responsibilities

Construct structures and sign cabinets from aluminum, steel, or other materials according to customer specifications, shop drawings, and blueprints.
Build custom signage, including channel letters, awnings, wall signs, and pylon signs.
Cut, bend, turn, mill, and drill materials to specified lengths and widths per work order.
Operate metal fabrication machines, including shears, saws, brakes, bending machines, and punch and forming presses.
Weld, rivet, or bolt components together, primarily aluminum.
Inspect parts for defects.
Operate machinery and equipment, including routers, welders, saws, air drills, and power tools.
Interpret blueprints and sketches.
Follow OSHA and company safety procedures.
