ADDMAN Engineering LLC•Statesville, NC

About The Position

The Metal Additive Engineer designs for additive manufacturing and operates metal 3D printers. The role works with a cross-functional team spanning engineering, sales, and customer support to develop and execute a business plan for growth in the 3D printing market. The engineer contributes to the design, development, and testing of additive processes; assesses part candidates for materials, equipment, manufacturability, design optimization, and business-case suitability; and creates optimized designs and build files. The role also works with Materials Engineers on material properties, geometric accuracy, surface finish, print parameters, heat treatments, and design allowables for existing and new alloys. Additional work includes customer communications and sales-development support, designing and detailing molds, models, and fixtures, specifying additive materials, supporting continuous improvement and ISO 9001-type activities, and maintaining assigned processes, procedures, and KPIs. The position requires work in manufacturing areas with required personal protective equipment and includes physical tasks such as operating machinery, lifting, reaching, walking, and working in confined spaces. Employment is at-will.
