About The Position

2020 Companies is hiring seasonal Meta Sales Specialist Floaters to represent Meta products inside local big-box retailers. Specialists demonstrate wearable AI, smart technology, and immersive experiences; engage shoppers; explain product features and benefits; and guide customers from initial interaction through asking for the sale. They maintain organized, demo-ready displays, build relationships with store teams, communicate product and promotion information, track demonstrations and sales activity, and stay current on product launches and software updates. Product and technology training is provided remotely.

This is a temporary, seasonal position with variable on-call coverage and six guaranteed hours per week. The work is at retailers within approximately 60 miles of the market center in Downey, California. Friday-through-Sunday availability is required, with scheduled hours Friday 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. Additional shifts may be added in November and December for key shopping days. The position runs through January 3, 2027. Pay is $21 per hour plus a seasonal completion bonus subject to attendance, employee standing, and KPI requirements. Sales contests may provide additional incentives. Floaters may receive priority consideration for open positions in the market based on attendance, KPIs, and other factors.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfort engaging with customers, demonstrating products, and confidently asking for the sale.
• Customer-first mindset.
• Strong communication, presentation, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
• Availability to work weekends and a minimum of three one-time weekday shifts.
• Smartphone equivalent to an iPhone 11 or Samsung S25 or newer.
• Personal, reliable transportation.
• Ability to stand, walk, reach, bend, grasp, lift up to 20 pounds occasionally, and perform continuous hand-eye coordination and fine manipulation.

Nice To Haves

• At least six months of experience in sales, electronics, retail, telecommunications, or marketing.
• Interest in technology, wearable AI, and/or virtual reality.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate Meta wearable AI, smart technology, and immersive experiences to shoppers.
• Proactively engage shoppers and provide welcoming, personalized customer experiences.
• Explain product features and benefits in relation to customers’ interests and needs.
• Guide customers through the customer experience, from initial engagement and demonstration to asking for the sale.
• Keep displays organized, products ready for demonstration, and the retail experience aligned with Meta brand standards.
• Build relationships with store teams and keep them informed about products, features, and promotions.
• Track demonstrations, customer engagement, and sales activity while working toward individual and program performance goals.
• Stay current on product launches, software updates, and emerging technology.
