About The Position

Responsible for answering and returning calls from the Patient Access and Interoperability queue of the Automatic Call Distribution (ACD) hotline. Responsible for the investigation, documentation and reporting of claim issues and/or discrepancies reported by members utilizing the Patient Access and Interoperability platform. Assist recipients with accessing third party applications authorized to share Louisiana Medicaid recipient information. Reviews all member-facing documentation and webpages for accuracy in reporting Patient Access and Interoperability member education materials. Consults with the Application Programming Interface (API)’s custodian (Gainwell Technologies) and adequately escalate technical issues to their 2nd Tier Call Center. Assists the Interoperability Interface team as needed. Assists higher level Managers with special projects and/or other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree or 6 years professional experience in lieu of the degree.
  • Great attention to detail and follow up.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage projects, assignments, and competing priorities.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience with Medicaid eligibility.
  • Minimum one year of professional experience with the MMIS mainframe system.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience with Customer Service Call Center.
  • Minimum two years of professional experience with Medicaid or private health insurance claim processing.
