About The Position

The full-time Merchandising Team Leader is the Store Team Leader’s go-to partner for developing and implementing the store’s merchandising strategy. This role trains and coaches the team to meet AEO visual standards, execute floorsets, maintain merchandising and marketing standards, and keep the store guest-ready through replenishment. The role also serves as a Leader on Duty, helps drive sales and store financial performance, and represents AEO’s company values.

Requirements

Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
Ability to multitask, with attention to detail, prioritization, and time-management skills.
Ability to lead and develop teams and a general understanding of employment law.
Business acumen.
Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

Drive sales as a Leader on Duty by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a strong guest experience.
Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and contribute to store financial success.
Partner with the Store Team Leader on short- and long-term business plans to drive key KPIs.
Coach the team to deliver a strong guest experience and maintain AEO Brand Standards.
Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, replenishment, and action plans for merchandising opportunities.
Motivate and inspire the team through AEO’s core values and hold team members accountable to customer service standards on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
Recruit and hire talent to staff the store according to business needs; train and develop team members.
Provide ongoing performance feedback and real-time coaching; prioritize team touchbases, development plans, performance reviews, and associate engagement.
Execute and improve daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards throughout store zones, and keep Fitting Rooms guest-ready.
Maintain store safety standards, follow Asset Protection standards, and adhere to AEO policies and procedures.
