About The Position

The full-time Merchandising Team Leader is the Store Team Leader’s go-to partner for developing and implementing the store’s merchandising strategy. The role leads, trains, and coaches the team to deliver AEO visual, merchandising, marketing, service, and operational standards, while ensuring the store is replenished and guest-ready. As a key Leader on Duty, this position supports sales and store financial performance, develops business plans with the Store Team Leader, and helps recruit, train, and develop associates. The role also upholds safety, asset protection, and company policies and values.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key Leader on Duty and maximize Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity to drive sales and guest loyalty.
• Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and contribute to the store’s financial success.
• Partner with the Store Team Leader on short- and long-term business plans to drive key KPIs.
• Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience and meet AEO brand standards.
• Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment; identify merchandising opportunities and take action.
• Motivate and inspire associates, model leadership, and hold the team accountable to customer service standards, especially on the Salesfloor and in the Fitting Room.
• Recruit and hire talent to staff the store for business needs; train and develop associates.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching, team touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews; promote engagement and celebrate performance.
• Execute and improve daily operational procedures and maintain visual standards throughout store zones.
• Ensure Fitting Rooms are guest-ready and meet AEO brand standards.
• Maintain store safety standards, follow Asset Protection standards, and adhere to AEO policies and procedures.
