About The Position

The full-time Merchandising Team Leader is the Store Team Leader’s go-to partner for developing and implementing the store’s merchandising strategy. This leader trains and coaches the team to meet AEO visual standards, execute floorsets, maintain merchandising and marketing standards, and keep the store guest-ready through effective replenishment. The role also serves as a key Leader on Duty, contributes to sales and store financial performance, and represents AEO’s company values.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask, attention to detail, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop teams and a general understanding of employment law.
• Business acumen.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.
• Passion for AE and Aerie products.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a strong guest experience.
• Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions, and support the Store Team Leader with short- and long-term business plans for key KPIs.
• Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience and maintain AEO Brand Standards.
• Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment; identify merchandising opportunities and take action.
• Motivate and inspire the team through AEO’s core values, model leadership, and hold associates accountable to customer service standards.
• Recruit and hire talent to meet business staffing needs, and train and develop associates.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching; prioritize team touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews; and promote engagement by celebrating performance.
• Execute and improve daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards throughout store zones, and ensure Fitting Rooms are guest-ready and meet AEO Brand Standards.
• Maintain store safety standards, follow Asset Protection standards, and adhere to AEO policies and procedures.
