About The Position

As the full-time Merchandising Team Leader, you are the Store Team Leader’s go-to person for developing and implementing the store’s merchandising strategy. You train and coach your team to deliver AEO visual standards, execute floorsets, meet merchandising and marketing standards, and keep the store guest-ready through effective replenishment. You represent company values and bring your authentic self to work.

As a key Leader on Duty, you help drive sales and guest loyalty, contribute to the store’s financial success, and work with the Store Team Leader on business plans and key performance indicators. You lead merchandising and operational execution, build and develop the team, and help maintain service, safety, and asset-protection standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
• Ability to multitask, with attention to detail, prioritization, and time-management skills.
• Ability to lead and develop teams.
• General understanding of employment law.
• Business acumen.
• Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a strong guest experience.
• Analyze reporting and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and contribute to the store’s financial success.
• Work with the Store Team Leader to develop short- and long-term business plans that drive key KPIs.
• Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience and meet AEO brand standards.
• Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, replenishment, and floorset execution.
• Identify merchandising opportunities and develop plans to address them.
• Motivate and inspire the team, model leadership, and hold team members accountable to customer service standards.
• Recruit and hire talent to ensure the store is staffed for business needs.
• Train and develop team members to provide outstanding service.
• Provide ongoing performance feedback through real-time coaching, team touchbases, development plans, and performance reviews; encourage engagement by celebrating strong performance.
• Execute and improve daily operational procedures and support visual standards throughout the store.
• Maintain guest-ready Fitting Rooms and AEO brand standards.
• Maintain store safety standards, follow Asset Protection standards, and adhere to company policies and procedures.
