About The Position

The full-time Merchandising Team Leader is the Store Team Leader’s go-to partner for developing and implementing the store’s merchandising strategy. The role trains and coaches the team to meet AEO visual standards, execute floorsets, maintain merchandising and marketing standards, and keep the store guest-ready through effective replenishment. The leader also represents AEO’s values and contributes to store sales, guest experience, team development, and operational execution.

Requirements

Previous experience leading teams in a retail management role.
Ability to multitask, attention to detail, and strong prioritization and time-management skills.
Ability to lead and develop teams and a general understanding of employment law.
Business acumen.
Flexible availability to work when guests shop.

Responsibilities

Drive sales as a Leader on Duty by maximizing Fitting Room and Salesfloor productivity and building guest loyalty through a high-quality guest experience.
Analyze reports and daily trends to make strategic business decisions and help develop short- and long-term business plans focused on key KPIs.
Coach the team to deliver an outstanding guest experience and uphold AEO Brand Standards.
Lead day-to-day merchandising, sell-through adjustments, and replenishment, and identify opportunities for merchandising improvements.
Motivate and inspire the team through AEO’s core values and hold associates accountable for customer service standards.
Recruit and hire talent to ensure the store is staffed for business needs.
Train and develop associates to support their ability to provide outstanding service.
Provide ongoing performance feedback and real-time coaching; prioritize team touchbases, development plans, performance reviews, and associate engagement.
Execute and improve daily operational procedures, maintain visual standards throughout store zones, and keep Fitting Rooms guest-ready.
Maintain store safety and Asset Protection standards and follow AEO policies and procedures.
