Merchandising Support Associate, Part Time - Roosevelt Field
About The Position
A Bloomingdale’s Merchandising Support Associate helps deliver a neat, clean, organized, and engaging shopping experience. The role supports merchandise presentation on the sales floor and handles merchandise-related work such as organizing products for events, markdowns, returns to vendors, re-ticketing, replenishment, and processing damages. The position also contributes to organized product presentation and easy-to-navigate back-of-house stockrooms. Success in the role requires speed, attention to detail, collaboration, and teamwork. Associates greet customers on the selling floor and handle all aspects of the merchandise journey.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and share information with diverse groups of customers and peers.
- Resourcefulness and ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to work a flexible retail schedule, including day, evening, weekend, and/or holiday hours.
- Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods.
- May need to reach, crouch, kneel, stoop, use color vision, and climb ladders.
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, including handheld electronic equipment.
- Frequently lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Responsibilities
- Greet and welcome customers while on the selling floor.
- Handle all aspects of the merchandise journey.
- Merchandise products on the sales floor and organize merchandise for events.
- Execute markdowns, returns to vendors, re-ticketing projects, and replenishment.
- Process damaged merchandise.
- Maintain organized product presentation and easy-to-navigate back-of-house stockrooms.
