Merchandising Operations Associate
About The Position
The Merchandising Operations Associate supports daily merchandise operations, including processing, placement, maintenance, and fulfillment, under the leadership of and reporting to the Merchandise Operations Team Supervisor/Manager. The role processes inbound merchandise and supports its placement and presentation on the selling floor, maintaining company visual standards. It also involves locating merchandise in the store and completing customer orders while providing responsive customer service. Associates may assist with store projects, floor recovery, merchandise replenishment, and other ad hoc responsibilities. The position requires flexibility to meet business needs, physical handling of merchandise, and use of computers and other technology.
Requirements
- Ability to lift cartons, climb ladders, and handle merchandise racks and carts; lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to maintain merchandising standards on the floor in compliance with Visual standards.
- Computer skills and ability to use available technology, including RF guns, PCs, iOS devices, Excel, Word, and proprietary platforms.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs and follow through on assigned tasks.
- Ability to drive a company vehicle as needed, in accordance with state driver's license standards, at select locations.
- Comfort adapting communication styles and ability to establish positive interpersonal relationships.
Responsibilities
- Process inbound merchandise and place and present merchandise on the selling floor.
- Follow direction to maintain standards for merchandise placement and presentation.
- Participate in other store projects as needed, including filling in merchandise on the selling floor, floor recovery, and supply replenishment.
- Locate requested merchandise within the store and complete customer orders.
- Provide excellent customer service and respond quickly to customer needs.
- Take on ad hoc responsibilities as needed.
- Monitor progress and results against objectives and measures, and assess organizational opportunities and risks.
- Share original ideas and address simple and complex problems.
