Merchandising Operations Associate - PT Hours
About The Position
The Merchandising Operations Associate supports merchandise flow and presentation in a Saks OFF 5TH store. The role receives and processes merchandise, moves products to departments, replenishes inventory, maintains selling-floor and fitting-room presentation, and keeps back-of-house areas clean and organized. The associate also handles merchandise transfers, customer sends, and returns to vendors, responds to customer needs, assists on the sales floor when needed, follows asset-protection procedures, and completes projects assigned by store leadership. The position requires flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience executing warehouse duties in a retail, customer-service, or sales environment.
- Proven time-management skills and ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities.
- Thorough knowledge of the fashion industry and passion for sharing that expertise.
- Ability to act promptly in routine situations and identify a clear plan of action that leads to a positive customer outcome.
- Ability to operate radios, POS registers, ticket scanners, and sensor removers.
- Ability to work effectively with inventory-management systems.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
Responsibilities
- Maintain truck check-in standards and expedite the receiving and processing of merchandise.
- Deliver merchandise to departments according to visual directives and replenish products as needed.
- Maintain the selling floor and fitting rooms, including resizing fixtures, putting away go-backs, executing markdowns, and signing fixtures and windows according to company standards.
- Maintain merchandise displays in compliance with brand standards.
- Expedite merchandise transfers, customer sends, and returns to vendors.
- Keep back-of-house areas clean and organized and complete duties in a timely manner.
- Respond appropriately to customer questions, inquiries, and needs.
- Assist on the sales floor when required.
- Follow asset-protection control and compliance procedures.
- Complete tasks and special projects assigned by store leadership.
