About The Position

The Merchandising Associate delivers a highly satisfied customer experience by engaging with customers, following customer experience principles, and maintaining a clean and organized store. The role adheres to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards and may involve cross-training in multiple store areas to support business needs. Associates support store culture, merchandising, sales-floor recovery, cleanliness, safety, and shrink-reduction efforts. The position is part-time and located at the TJ Maxx store in Oswego, Illinois.

Responsibilities

• Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers.
• Support and embody a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect.
• Accurately ring customer purchases and returns and count change according to operating procedures.
• Promote credit and loyalty programs.
• Uphold the merchandising philosophy and follow established merchandising procedures and standards.
• Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor according to company procedures and standards.
• Initiate and participate in store recovery throughout the day as needed.
• Maintain organizational, cleanliness, and recovery standards for the sales floor and help maintain the cleanliness of the entire store.
• Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback.
• Adhere to labor laws, policies, and procedures.
• Support and participate in store shrink-reduction goals and programs.
• Participate in safety awareness and maintain a safe environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
