About The Position

The Merchandiser displays beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and retail sales floors. The role is based in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The employee arranges products, places price and descriptive signs, transfers products from customer stock rooms to floor displays, and orders product for assigned accounts to prevent out-of-stocks. The Merchandiser develops display ideas or follows suggestions and schedules from the Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager, communicates with key store personnel about service or product needs, and assembles display aids using company-provided Point of Sale materials. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor. Applicants must be 21 years or older. The job involves frequent standing and walking and requires handling, feeling, reaching, talking, and hearing. It may occasionally involve sitting, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee regularly lifts or moves up to 70 pounds without assistance and occasionally lifts or moves up to 100 pounds using a hand truck or other manual lifting device. Close vision and the ability to adjust focus are required.

Responsibilities

Arrange products according to a prearranged plan or ideas approved by management.
Place price and descriptive signs on backdrops, fixtures, merchandise, or floors.
Transfer product from customer stock rooms to floor displays to comply with sell-by dates, maximize product in stores, and minimize stock-room inventory.
Order products for assigned accounts according to established procedures to prevent out-of-stock conditions.
Develop display ideas or follow suggestions or schedules from the Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
Communicate daily with key store personnel about service or product needs.
Construct or assemble display aids using company-provided Point of Sale materials.
Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
