Merchandiser (F/T) Carlsbad
About The Position
Admiral Beverage is hiring a full-time Merchandiser in Carlsbad, New Mexico. The Merchandiser displays beverage merchandise on shelves, showcases, and retail sales floors. The role involves arranging products, placing price and descriptive signs, moving products from stock rooms to displays, ordering products for assigned accounts, and communicating with store personnel about service and product needs. The employee may develop display ideas or follow guidance from the Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager, and assembles display aids using company-provided point-of-sale materials. Other duties may be assigned by a supervisor. The position requires regularly standing, walking, handling or feeling items, reaching, and lifting or moving up to 70 pounds without assistance. It occasionally involves lifting or moving up to 100 pounds with a hand truck or another manual lifting device. Other physical activities include talking, hearing, sitting, climbing or balancing, and stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
Requirements
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Regularly lift or move up to 70 pounds without assistance.
- Occasionally lift or move objects weighing up to 100 pounds using a hand truck or other manual lifting device.
- Specific vision abilities include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Responsibilities
- Arrange products according to a prearranged plan or ideas approved by management.
- Place price and descriptive signs on backdrops, fixtures, merchandise, or floors.
- Transfer products from customer stock rooms to floor displays to comply with sell-by dates, maximize products in stores, and minimize stock-room inventory.
- Order products for assigned accounts according to established procedures to prevent out-of-stock conditions.
- Create display ideas or follow suggestions or schedules from the Merchandiser Manager and Sales Manager.
- Communicate daily with key store personnel about service or product needs.
- Construct or assemble display aids using company-provided point-of-sale materials.
- Perform other duties assigned by a supervisor.
