About The Position

The Merchandiser presents products to attract consumer attention at customer retail locations and services and maintains multiple bulk accounts. The role involves merchandising approved products and packages using safe handling techniques and following quality guidelines, while following plan sets and planograms and communicating with store management and cross-functional personnel. Mileage reimbursement is provided for travel between stores. The schedule starts between 5 a.m. and 6 a.m. and continues until the route is complete. Weekend work is required, with two varying days off during the week.

Requirements

Valid in-state driver's license.
Excellent driving history.
Proof of an insurance policy with current coverage for liability and property damage of at least $50,000 per person, $100,000 per accident, and $50,000 property damage, with a deductible of $500 or less, effective from the first day of employment.
Effective listening, speaking, and writing skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with customers with varying needs and expectations.
Ability and willingness to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment, including repetitive lifting of 50 pounds.
Ability to work reliably and independently with little daily supervision.
Critical thinking skills.

Prior customer service experience, preferably in a retail setting.

Responsibilities

Fill, merchandise, and rotate products on displays and shelves according to procedures and special programs.
Physically move products from the backroom and place them on display.
Create and distribute point-of-sale materials on displays and shelves where permitted.
Fill and merchandise Fastlane merchandisers and vendors, and check vendors for proper operation.
Organize and maintain the backroom by stacking and arranging products by package and flavor.
Arrange the return of empty pallets and shells, damaged products, and out-of-date products to the branch.
Build relationships with store personnel through routine follow-up on requests and discussions about pricing, special programs, new opportunities, and upcoming activities.
