About The Position

As a Hallmark Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organization and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support fellow merchandisers with seasonal resets and installations. Occasionally, the role may involve working with other companies’ products in the stores you service.

The position provides service to Hallmark departments in grocery, drug, department, and mass-retail stores. Core work includes restocking, organizing, and monitoring Hallmark products and displays; communicating with a supervisor and completing required reporting and surveys using a Hallmark-provided mobile device; and interacting professionally with store employees, management, and customers. Merchandisers are responsible for the complete Hallmark product display at their assigned stores.

The role also includes seasonal holiday support and, as needed, department installations and resets. Seasonal demand can require additional workdays and extended hours, and work on certain holidays may be required. Reset assignments may involve building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments or products, and resetting card sections, sometimes in the evening or on weekends. Merchandisers are part of a field network that may support colleagues in other territories.

This is a part-time role with a variable work-week schedule averaging 14–16 hours per week. Availability during the weeks before and after major holidays, including possible weekend work, is required, as is availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Starting pay is $19.70–$21.70 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside assigned Hallmark departments.
• Maintain responsibility for the complete Hallmark product display at assigned stores and help optimize product placement and inventory levels.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around seasonal holidays, which may involve additional days and extended hours and, on certain occasions, working on the holiday itself.
• Support installations and department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
