About The Position

Hallmark is hiring a part-time Merchandiser to service Hallmark departments in assigned retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. The role works independently to maintain product displays and inventory, build relationships with local store teams, and represent Hallmark professionally. Merchandisers may also support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations, and may occasionally work with other companies’ products in the stores they service.

The position has a variable schedule during the work week and averages 10–16 hours per week. Workload may increase around major holidays and during seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Hallmark provides paid training through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Starting pay is $11.00–$13.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases. Part-time employees working fewer than 30 hours have access to voluntary benefits, including dental, vision, critical illness, accident insurance, hospital indemnity, and minimum essential coverage for preventive care.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms. It is physically demanding and involves regularly pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying merchandise and display fixtures, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, and standing. Climbing stairs and step ladders may also be required.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to consistently push, pull, lift, and carry cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures during the workday.
• Be able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; climbing stairs and step ladders may be required.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department at assigned stores.
• Take responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for day-to-day work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support additional seasonal work and extended hours leading up to and following major holidays.
• Work on the actual holiday, potentially including a weekend, when required for occasions such as Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, and Father's Day.
• Participate in department resets, installations, fixture building, card department and product relocations, and card section resets.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
