About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you will independently service Hallmark departments in various retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You will organize and restock products, monitor inventory, maintain Hallmark displays, and work with store teams to optimize product placement. You will use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and required merchandising activities. The position also includes seasonal holiday support, department resets, installations, and assisting other merchandisers when needed. Occasional work with other companies’ products in the stores you service may be available.

The schedule is variable during the work week and averages 10–16 hours per week. Additional days and extended hours may be needed around major holidays and during seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support. Work on certain holidays, including some weekends, and evening or weekend remodel assignments may be required. Starting pay is $11.00–$13.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training includes live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.

Requirements

• At least 18 years of age.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds frequently and 50 pounds occasionally.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Availability during the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Availability to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory in and outside Hallmark departments at assigned stores.
• Maintain responsibility for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores.
• Use a mobile device for daily work, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, surveys, and required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional support around holidays, including additional days or extended hours and, when required, work on the holiday itself, potentially including weekends.
• Participate in department resets, including building and installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
• Support seasonal changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory activities.
