As a Hallmark Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase organizational and time-management skills, build retailer relationships, and represent Hallmark. You work with local store teams to optimize product placement and maintain inventory, and may support other team members with seasonal resets and installations. On occasion, the role may include working with products from other companies in the stores you service. The role includes day-to-day service in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores; seasonal holiday support; and department resets. Using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, you restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark inventory, communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete surveys for required merchandising activities. You are responsible for the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers. Seasonal work may involve additional days and extended hours before and after holidays, and may require work on certain holidays, including weekends. Reset assignments may include building or installing fixtures, relocating card departments and products, and resetting card sections. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends. Merchandisers may also support colleagues in other territories as needed. This is a part-time position with a variable work-week schedule averaging 8–10 hours per week. Starting pay is $15.00–$17.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Paid training is provided through live, hands-on instruction and virtual classroom training. The job is physically demanding and involves working on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms.
