About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser for Hallmark, you will independently service the Hallmark department in assigned retail stores, including grocery, drug, department, and mass retailers. You will organize and restock products, monitor inventory, maintain the product display, and collaborate with store teams to optimize product placement. The role involves using a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work and communication, and maintaining courteous relationships with store employees, management, and customers. You may occasionally work with other companies’ products in stores you service.

The position has a variable work-week schedule averaging 12–15 hours per week. Pay is $13.50–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid hands-on and virtual training. Seasonal periods may require additional workdays and extended hours; some holiday work may include weekends or the holiday itself. You may also assist with seasonal resets, installations, fixture building, department relocations, and inventory support, sometimes in the evenings or on weekends. Remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance.

The work takes place on retail selling floors and in back stockrooms and is physically demanding. It requires frequent lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of items up to 30 pounds and occasional handling of items up to 50 pounds, as well as kneeling, squatting, walking, standing, and potentially climbing stairs or step ladders. You need consistent transportation to travel among assigned stores and access to Wi-Fi and the internet.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• Be able to read, write, and understand English.
• Be able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Be able to kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the workday; climbing stairs and step ladders may be required.
• Be able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Be available for a variable part-time schedule averaging 12–15 hours per week, including additional or extended hours around seasonal changeovers and holidays; some holiday, weekend, evening, or remodel work may be required.

Responsibilities

• Service Hallmark departments in assigned retail stores.
• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and help optimize product placement with store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, communication with a supervisor, reporting time, providing feedback, and completing surveys for required merchandising activities.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Support holiday and seasonal demand, including additional days and extended hours when needed.
• Assist with installations, building and installing Hallmark fixtures, relocating card departments and products, resetting card sections, and inventory support.
• Support fellow merchandisers in other territories as needed.
