About The Position

As a part-time Merchandiser, you work independently in assigned retail stores to showcase Hallmark products, build relationships with store teams, optimize product placement, and maintain inventory. You may also support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations, and occasionally work with products from other companies in the stores you service.

The role includes day-to-day service in Hallmark departments at grocery, drug, department, and mass retail stores. Using a Hallmark-provided mobile device, you restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products and displays, communicate with your supervisor, report time, provide feedback, and complete activity surveys. You are responsible for the Hallmark product display at assigned stores and interact professionally with store employees, management, and customers.

Hallmark's seasonal business requires additional days and extended hours around major holidays. Some work may be required on the holiday itself, including weekends. You may also help a team build and install fixtures, relocate card departments and products, and reset card sections; remodel assignments are typically communicated two weeks in advance and may involve evenings or weekends. Merchandisers may support colleagues in other territories as needed.

The position averages 12–15 hours per week on a variable work-week schedule. Starting pay is $13.50–$15.00 per hour, depending on skills and experience. Hallmark provides paid hands-on and virtual training, and eligible employees receive annual pay increases. The position is physically demanding and involves working on sales floors and in back stockrooms.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Able to read, write, and understand English.
• Able to frequently grasp, pull, lift, and carry products weighing up to 30 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds.
• Able to operate a digital handheld device to open and read documents and interpret information.
• Must have access to a Wi-Fi network and the internet.
• Must have consistent transportation to travel to and between assigned stores as scheduled.
• Must be available the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends.
• Must be available to support season changeovers, extended services, installations, and inventory support.

Responsibilities

• Restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark products and inventory in assigned retail stores.
• Maintain the entire Hallmark product display at assigned stores and optimize product placement in collaboration with store teams.
• Use a Hallmark-provided mobile device for daily work, supervisor communication, time reporting, feedback, and required activity surveys.
• Interact professionally and courteously with store employees, management, and customers.
• Provide additional service, days, and extended hours around seasonal holidays, and work on certain holidays when required.
• Support seasonal changeovers, installations, fixture construction, card department relocations, and card section resets.
• Support other merchandisers in their territories as needed.
