About The Position

The Merchandiser Lead works with the Merchandising Supervisor to help develop merchandising staff through training and coaching, and is scheduled to merchandise accounts as needed. The role trains new and existing merchandisers in standard merchandising activities and procedures, conducts onboarding and retraining, leads capability-building sessions, and provides performance feedback. The lead is the point of contact for the Merchandising Supervisor on the supervisor’s days off, handling team calls, schedule changes, and customer concerns. The position monitors daily merchandising activities in Pace while in the field using an iPad, conducts weekly store audits and merchandiser check-ins, covers open routes, and completes daily merchandising activities as needed. The role also promotes safe work practices, ensures teammates have proper equipment, reports unsafe conditions, and follows company policies and procedures. The position is based in Wichita. The listed schedule is 40 hours, with Monday and Tuesday off. Work hours must be flexible to meet customer needs, including evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Pay is $20.00 per hour. Requirements

At least one year of work experience in grocery, retail, warehouse, manual labor, or a related field.
Experience working with minimal supervision.
Ability to obtain Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT) certification upon hire.
Basic computer application and technology skills, including the ability to operate a smartphone, iPad, and/or laptop.
Flexibility with work hours, including availability to work evenings, weekends, and some holidays due to customer needs.
Valid driver's license and current vehicle liability insurance.
Driving record within company policy guidelines, including no major violations within the last three years.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.
Prior merchandising and leadership experience.
Prior experience using equipment such as pallet jacks and high loader lifts.

Responsibilities
