About The Position

The Grader examines and grades donated goods for sale in Goodwill of North Georgia stores and online. The position helps generate job training opportunities for people facing barriers to employment. The role processes goods to meet daily production goals, supports multiple work areas, and follows established playbooks, training, and work instructions. It also involves maintaining an organized work area, communicating and cooperating with team members and management, and following safety and security practices.

Requirements

Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
Able to work independently and in a team environment.
Strong organizational skills and sound judgment.
Must be 18 or older to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift. Individuals ages 16 to 17 may not operate forklifts, balers, or compactors.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly examine and grade donated goods.
Effectively process goods to meet daily production goals.
Move between multiple work areas to support daily production goals.
Identify and quickly solve problems or seek management support.
Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
Perform work according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
Attend and complete required trainings and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
