About The Position

The Merchandiser Grader thoroughly examines and grades donated goods for sale in Goodwill of North Georgia retail stores. The role processes goods at an accelerated pace to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment while following standard operating procedures. The position may require pivoting among work areas to support daily production needs and performing other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Foster a healthy team culture focused on exceptional guest experience.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English, as well as interpersonal skills.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Able to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and sound judgment.
• Must be 18 or older to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift; individuals ages 16 to 17 may not operate forklifts, balers, or compactors.
• Must start employment in acceptable safety work shoes.
• Able to work in heat, cold, dust, and other conditions.
• Able to meet physical requirements, including bending, reaching, grasping, standing and/or walking for extended periods, and pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.
• Must be available to work Monday through Sunday during operating hours as needed.

Responsibilities

• Thoroughly examine and grade donated goods.
• Process goods effectively to meet daily production goals.
• Move between multiple work areas to support daily production goals.
• Identify and quickly solve problems or seek management support.
• Communicate effectively with management and team members.
• Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
• Perform work according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
• Follow safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required trainings and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
