About The Position

Goodwill of North Georgia is hiring a part-time Merchandiser Grader for its Centerville store. The Grader examines and grades donated goods for sale in stores and online. Proceeds from donated goods support job training for people facing barriers to employment. The role contributes to daily production goals, store operations, and Goodwill’s community and environmental impact.

Requirements

Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
Detail-oriented, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Strong organizational skills and sound judgment.
Must be at least 18 years old to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift. Employees ages 16 to 17 may not operate forklifts, balers, or compactors.

Nice To Haves

High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

Thoroughly examine and grade donated goods.
Process goods effectively to meet daily production goals.
Move among multiple work areas to support daily production goals.
Identify and promptly resolve problems or seek management support.
Communicate effectively with management and other team members.
Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork with peers.
Perform work according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work area.
Follow safety and security practices, including reporting safety hazards and injuries to management.
Attend and complete required trainings and meetings.
Perform other duties as assigned.
