About The Position

The Merchandiser is responsible for pricing and setting customer stores and reports directly to the Merchandising Manager overseeing the geographical area served. The role involves driving a personal vehicle to customer locations, meeting with customers, and placing merchandise in display areas according to established planograms. The Merchandiser assesses store needs, promptly notifies management of issues, evaluates sales, identifies slow-selling or discontinued items, and recommends replacements to help increase customer sales and profits.

The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, starting between 6:00 and 7:30 a.m. and continuing until work is completed. Travel is to Santa Fe and surrounding areas. A company cell phone is provided, along with car data, gas, and mileage reimbursement. Pay is $17.00 per hour.

Requirements

• Ability to interpret and execute planograms.
• Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance and ability to travel to customer locations.
• Driver's license with a clear driving record.
• Ability to frequently lift products weighing 5–25 pounds throughout the day and to lift a case of product or tote weighing up to 70 pounds.

Nice To Haves

• At least 6 months of merchandising or retail experience.

Responsibilities

• Service assigned stores as scheduled each day.
• Provide excellent customer service.
• Perform merchandising, stocking, pricing, shelf facing, stock rotation, and product and shelf cleaning at customer locations.
• Arrange store shelves and display areas as required by each store.
• Monitor potential account problems at the store level and report them to Sales and/or the Sales Manager when required.
• Maintain safe store aisles.
• Maintain assigned equipment.
• Report hours to the division using provided timesheets.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
• Assess customer sales, identify items that are not selling or are discontinued, and recommend replacement items.
