About The Position
As a Merchandise Team Member at Mountain Outfitters, you will work in one of Silver Dollar City's more than 60 shops. You will provide friendly, outgoing service to guests and help keep the shop clean and properly stocked. Merchandise may include souvenirs, food items such as taffy and cinnamon bread, and custom-made furniture. This full-time seasonal position starts now and ends 01/09/2027. Applicants must be at least 16 years of age.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years of age.
- One to three months of related experience and/or training preferred.
- Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
- Ability to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, concrete, steps, and sloped surfaces; climb stairs and ladders; lift and carry up to 50 lbs.; handle, feel, and reach with hands and arms; speak and hear clearly; and see near and far with depth perception. Reasonable accommodations may be made for individuals with disabilities.

Responsibilities
- Assist guests by answering questions, providing product information, and offering related services.
- Stock shelves, counters, and/or tables with merchandise.
- Operate the point-of-sale register while following cash-handling and credit-card procedures.
- Handle customer credit-card information in compliance with property procedures and PCI standards.
- Pick up, remove, and record the amount of cash in the register at the beginning and end of a shift.
- Wrap and/or bag merchandise for customers.
- Clean shelves, counters, or tables.
- Wear personal protective equipment as deemed necessary.
- Be consistently at work and on time.
- Assist the Merchandise teams with other duties as assigned.
