About The Position

Silver Dollar City is hiring a Food Team Member for its Food Team. Team members may work at concession stands, skillets, or buffet-style restaurants, creating a welcoming guest experience while preparing and serving food. This is a full-time seasonal position through January 2, 2027. Applicants must be at least 16 years old.

The role involves guest service, food preparation and cooking, cash and point-of-sale transactions, maintaining a themed and safe food environment, and cleaning duties. Team members must communicate effectively, follow safety and food-handling procedures, and work in varied outdoor conditions and on uneven terrain. An in-house ServSafe food training class must be completed.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills, including making change and counting change back to guests.
• Must complete an in-house ServSafe food training class.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull an average of 25 pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete for 67–100% of the time.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions.
• Able to wear personal protective gear, such as hair restraints and food-safe gloves, correctly for most of the day.
• Able to remember locations, understand instructions, and carry them out.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take product orders.
