About The Position

Silver Dollar City is hiring a Food Team Member for Tater Patch. This full-time seasonal position runs from now until January 2, 2027. Team members may work at concession stands, skillets, or buffet-style restaurants. The role involves welcoming guests, taking and preparing food orders, operating point-of-sale registers, handling cash and payment information, and helping create a positive guest experience in a themed environment. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and complete an in-house ServSafe food training class.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• Able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
• Basic math skills, including making change and counting change back to guests.
• Must complete an in-house ServSafe food training class.
• Able to lift, carry, push, and pull an average weight of 25 pounds and a maximum of 50 pounds.
• Able to stand or walk on uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, and concrete for 67–100% of the time.
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions and a fast-paced environment.
• Able to repetitively use hand and finger movements.
• Able to correctly wear personal protective gear, such as hair restraints and food-safe gloves, most of the day.
• Able to remember locations, understand instructions, and carry them out.

• Experience working with high-volume food is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests and take product orders.
• Make customers feel welcome and appreciated.
• Maintain a themed environment.
• Prepare and cook food products.
• Handle cash, make change, and operate point-of-sale registers.
• Handle customer credit card information in compliance with property procedures and PCI standards.
• Maintain a safe food environment and follow safety procedures.
• Clean and bus tables as assigned.
• Use suggestive selling.
• Carry out shop closing and cleaning procedures.
• Maintain positive, helpful relationships with teammates.
• Wear personal protective equipment as needed.
