About The Position

As a Merchandise Team Member, you will work in one of the 60 plus unique shops that call Silver Dollar City home. You will provide friendly, outgoing service to our guests and keep the shop clean and stocked properly. This role involves selling a variety of items, from souvenirs to custom-made furniture, and potentially other park-related products like taffy and cinnamon bread. This is a Full-Time Seasonal position.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• One to three months related experience and/or training required.
• Frequently standing and walking in uneven terrain, inclines, asphalt, concrete.
• Must be able to lift up to 35 pounds at some times.
• The ability to work in extreme weather.
• Frequently use fine motor skills.
• The ability to remember locations, understand and carry out instructions.
• The ability to safely climb ladders, hills and stairs.

Responsibilities

• Wears Personal Protective Equipment as deemed necessary.
• Is consistently at work and on time.
• Assists guests by answering questions, providing product information, and other related services.
• Stocks shelves, counters, and/or tables with merchandise.
• Operates Point of Sale register following cash handling and credit card procedures.
• Ensure proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
• Picks up, removes and records amount of cash in register at beginning and end of shift.
• Wraps and/or bags merchandise for customers.
• Cleans shelves, counters, or tables.
