About The Position

This is a seasonal internship position at Silver Dollar City, running from May 18th to August 14th. The intern will be responsible for auditing sales details for accuracy and compliance, identifying and reporting discrepancies, inputting data, balancing and reconciling information, distributing sales reports, and completing special projects. The role also involves identifying trends in irregularities, providing input for solutions, ensuring proper handling of customer credit card information, auditing cash drawers, and maintaining confidentiality. The intern will also be expected to provide teamwork and quality service, be consistently at work and on time, and observe safety and security procedures.

Requirements

  • Must be currently at least 18 years of age.
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school degree program.
  • Able to project Silver Dollar City’s image by being genuinely friendly and caring and by taking pride in their work.
  • Able to prioritize and complete work assignments on a timely basis.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality and judgment regarding privileged information.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Proficient in 10 key.

Responsibilities

  • Audit detail for accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures.
  • Identify and report discrepancies from procedure and cash variances.
  • Input data to PC and sales systems, balance and reconcile all information, distribute sales reports, completion of special projects as assigned.
  • Identify trends in irregularities and provide input for solutions.
  • Provide teamwork and quality service to all customers and team members.
  • Insures proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
  • Audit cash drawers on a random basis to check for cash accuracy, procedures and variances.
  • Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, maintaining confidentiality. High attention to detail.
  • Is consistently at work and on time; arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
  • Observes safety and security procedures.
