About The Position

This is a seasonal internship program at Silver Dollar City, running from May 18th through August 14th. The intern will be responsible for auditing sales details for accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures, identifying and reporting discrepancies, inputting data, balancing and reconciling information, distributing sales reports, and completing special projects. The role also involves identifying trends in irregularities, providing input for solutions, ensuring proper handling of customer credit card information, and auditing cash drawers. The intern must demonstrate accuracy, thoroughness, and maintain confidentiality. They are expected to be punctual, observe safety and security procedures, and possess a high attention to detail.

Requirements

• Must be currently at least 18 years of age.
• Must be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or technical school degree program.
• Able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

• Able to work confidently within multiple point of sale systems, and software programs.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Proficient in 10 key.

Responsibilities

• Audit detail for accuracy and compliance with accounting procedures.
• Identify and report discrepancies from procedure and cash variances.
• Input data to PC and sales systems, balance and reconcile all information, distribute sales reports, completion of special projects as assigned.
• Identify trends in irregularities and provide input for solutions.
• Provide teamwork and quality service to all customers and team members.
• Insures proper handling of customer credit card information in compliance with Property Procedures and Purchasing Card Industry (PCI) standards.
• Audit cash drawers on a random basis to check for cash accuracy, procedures and variances.
• Demonstrate accuracy and thoroughness, maintaining confidentiality.
• Is consistently at work and on time; arrives at meetings and appointments on time.
• Observes safety and security procedures.
